Beautifully situated on the Brisbane River, it attracts many attractions, bustling shopping precincts, a diverse range of restaurants, and a very wide and demanding cultural program. Places of interest include the "Botanic Gardens," the "Lone Pine Sanctuary" with koalas and kangaroos, "Brisbane City Hall," the pedestrian zone "Queen Street Mall," "Roma Street Parkland," "South Bank Parklands," the viewpoint "Mt Coot-tha Lookout" with fantastic views over Brisbane and the suburbs.

Airlie Beach is located on the east coast of Australia in the state of Queensland. With its Shute Harbour, the tourist center is the starting point for excursions to the nearby Whitsunday Islands and the famous Great Barrier Reef. There are gently sloping, white sandy beaches with calm waters, as well as rocky promontories with crashing waves. The city center of Phuket is a popular shopping destination. Sights include the Thai Village, a Thai folklore village that offers a cultural show featuring Thai dances, sword fighting, and Thai boxing. There is also the Thalang National Museum, the temple Wat Phra Thong with a Buddha statue partially embedded in the ground.

The capital of Sri Lanka (formerly known as "Ceylon") has become an important port city for ships on the Far East route in recent years. The Beira Lake surrounds the city, which is connected to the port by a canal. The Clock Tower, which offers a wide view of the city and the harbor, is worth seeing. There are also many buildings in the city that were built by the Dutch in the 18th and 19th centuries, such as St. Peter`s Church or Pettah, the former residence of the Dutch, which is now characterized by a colorful bazaar district. Aqaba is known for its pink-hued tombs and temples directly carved out of sandstone cliffs. Other attractions include a 12th-century fort and the unique underwater world of the area.

Worth seeing is the Piazza Garibaldi (main square of Naples in front of the central train station with the Garibaldi monument, Via Umberto I with many shops, fruit and fish markets, and street vendors everywhere); the old town districts (with the harbor, the Porta Capuana city gate, the Francis church, the town hall, the Umberto I gallery); the former royal palace Palazzo Reale (with the national library); the Castel Sant Elmo (dating back to the 14th century, located on a hill above the city); the San Gennaro Cathedral (dating back to the 13th century, with the grave of the city`s patron saint - St. Januarius); the National Archaeological Museum (with the famous Alexander mosaic); the National Museum (with many finds from Herculaneum and Pompeii).

The Italian capital Rome is also called "the Eternal City", because the pulsating metropolis still harbors valuable, world-famous treasures from antiquity. The most important attractions of the city include the "Baths of Caracalla", the Imperial Forum, the Colosseum, the "Piazza Navona", the fountain of the god Neptune, and of course St. Peter`s Basilica with Michelangelo`s dome.

Portoferraio, located in the province of Livorno, is the capital of the island of Elba, which belongs to the Tuscany region. The island is famous for its impressive harbor as well as its beautiful enchanting beaches. Day 39: Livorno (Florence), Italy. Arrival time: 07:00. Departure time: 19:00. Duration of port stay: 12 hours. Livorno is about 20 km away from Pisa. With its 180,000 inhabitants, the city is the second largest in Tuscany. Through the "Fossi Medici" (Medici Canals), the canals of the so-called new Venice, which connect the fortress with the port, you can reach the "Piazza Grande" with the cathedral of "San Francesco". Here you can find both historical buildings from the Middle Ages and modern architecture. Barcelona is considered the most important economic center of Catalonia. In terms of culture, the Mediterranean metropolis has a lot to offer, including the Picasso Museum, the Museum of Modern Art, and the National Art Museum of Catalonia. In the Gothic old town "Barri Gotic" you will find the Cathedral "La Seu" from the 13th century. However, the symbol of Barcelona is the church "Sagrada Familia", designed by Antonio Gaudí. Barcelona is bustling both during the day with business activities and at night with an active nightlife. Another attraction is the "Rambles", the magnificent promenade located in the center, with numerous street cafes, shops, restaurants, bars, and nightclubs. Tangier is a port and provincial capital on the North African coast and is known as the gateway to Africa. The old town of Tangier is manageable and consists of many narrow streets and shops where typical goods are sold. In addition, the Grand Socco square is worth seeing, which is considered the most important marketplace in the region and houses many tea houses. There you will also find Bab Fahs, the main gate of the city wall. The coastal city is connected to the Spanish mainland by several ferries, which also travel to Algeciras, Tarifa, or Gibraltar.

It is influenced by French colonialism. The attractions of Casablanca are the "Hassan II Mosque" and the "Youtiya" crafts market in the new Medina, the Habbous district. Additionally, the city on the Atlantic coast boasts a unique architectural heritage from the 18th century. Bordeaux houses ten municipal museums that preserve the cultural heritage, such as the "Musée d`Aquitaine" (Museum of Regional History) and the "Musée des Beaux Arts", an art gallery. Among the most important attractions of this cultural city are the "Palais de la Bourse", the old city gate "Porte Cailhau", the "Pont de Pierre" with its 17 arches, the Cathedral of St. André, the Church of St. Michel, and the Girondists monument on the "Place des Quinconces", one of the largest squares in Europe.

Day 52: Cobh (Cork), Ireland. Arrival time: 08:00. Departure time: 23:00. Duration of port stay: 15 hours. Cobh is a port city in the south of Ireland and is located on the Great Island. Here, in the St. Coleman Cathedral, the only carillon in all of Ireland can be found, which consists of 49 bronze bells. A visit to the Fota Wildlife Park is definitely recommended, where approximately 30 different species of mammals and about 50 species of birds call home. Other attractions include the Cobh Heritage Center and the Cobh Museum. The Titanic Trail city tour follows the history of the numerous emigrants who set off from Cobh to America and provides information about the Titanic`s final stop before its sinking.

It is surrounded by the Scottish Highlands. In Greenock, there are very good shopping options at the "Braehead Shopping Centre" and at Ikea. Attractions in Glasgow: "Gallery of Modern Art," cathedral, police museum, Mitchell Library, Transport Museum, Tollcross Park, "Scotland Street School Museum".

The port of Dover is only 28 km away from France. 14 million passengers are shuttled through here every year to commute between the British Isles and the French mainland. However, Dover is best known for its beautiful white cliffs. On these, hardly visible, lies the largest fortress in England. Other attractions: "White Cliffs", "Dover Castle", lighthouse.

Bergen is one of the most charming cities in Norway, not least because of its unique location between seven hills. The city, with a population of 218,000, is the second largest in the country and the capital of the Hordaland County. In 1070, Bishop Olav Kyrre granted Bergen city rights, and in 1217, King Hakon IV declared it the capital of Norway. The oldest and most famous wooden houses in the city can be found on Bryggen, the former Hanseatic wharf. These unique buildings have been included in the UNESCO list of world heritage sites, as one of four sites in Norway. Places of interest include the Hanseatic Museum, Bryggen Museum, Bergenhus Fortress, Mariakirken, Jorgenskirken, and the leprosy museum, as well as the aquarium.

The small town of Svolvær is the main town of the Lofoten Islands and is located on the island of Vagan. The small fishing port has 4,000 inhabitants and has regular ferry service. On board a real Lofoten fishing boat, you can participate in fishing yourself, especially for cod, haddock, and pollock.
Day 63: Tromsø, Norway. Arrival time: 08:00. Departure time: 17:00. Duration of port stay: 9 hours. In the north of Norway, above the Arctic Circle, stretches the city of Tromsø with a population of 60,000. It is the largest metropolis in the north, along with the Russian city of Murmansk, and is popular among tourists from all over the world. Tromsø is one of the best places to observe the spectacular Northern Lights. Other attractions include the impressive Arctic Cathedral, the Polar Museum, and the world`s northernmost botanical garden. Fish lovers will find themselves in the right place in Tromsø! Numerous restaurants and bars serve freshly caught and excellent fish. In summer, the Telegrafbukta beach is a popular destination for locals and tourists, although the water is too cold for swimming, with temperatures rarely exceeding 10°Celsius.
Day 64: Honningsvåg (North Cape), Norway. Arrival time: 08:00. Departure time: 18:00. Duration of port stay: 10 hours. The Norwegian fishing town of Honningsvag is located approximately 25 km from the North Cape. This is the second northernmost point in Europe and is located on the Norwegian island of Mageroya. The North Cape offers a magnificent view over the northern Arctic Ocean. But the most beautiful attraction is witnessing the midnight sun. This natural phenomenon can only be seen north of the Arctic Circle. It is based on the fact that in the Arctic regions, the sun remains above the horizon even at midnight during the summer.

Day 67: Ice fjords (Ísafjörður), Iceland. Arrival time: 09:00. Departure time: 18:00. Duration of port stay: 9 hours. Ísafjörður is made up of several districts that stretch from the end of the fjord on the north side to the original settlement, where the harbor is located. On the other side of the fjord is the airport, or rather the runway, with a small terminal building. Although the entire northwest fjords are losing inhabitants to more prosperous areas, Ísafjörður is able to retain its citizens and even records slight growth, with a population of 3,500 people today. The town was founded as a settlement of the Hanseatic League and later taken over by the Danes. Ísafjörður is an excellent example of the development of Icelandic architecture. Five houses built in the 18th century are protected monuments in Ísafjörður. The oldest house dates back to the mid-18th century, and the newest is from 1788. A stroll through the old town leads to the main shopping street Laugavegur and the pedestrian zone, past the historic reception house Höfdi House, where Reagan and Gorbachev met in 1986, to the modern Hallgrimskirkja Church, whose view from the tower offers the best view of the city. Day 72: Qaqortoq (Julianehåb), Greenland. Arrival time: 08:00. Departure time: 18:00. Duration of port stay: 10 hours. Qaqortoq is the largest city in southern Greenland. Today, its 3,490 inhabitants live in a modern environment. Several schools, factories, and shops provide employment for Qaqortoq`s residents. Additionally, the city is home to the only company in Greenland that produces and mostly sells clothing made from seal fur. Near the market square, visitors can explore the old missionary buildings, which now serve as a museum. Another unique feature of Qaqortoq is the painted rock and granite walls, as well as numerous stone sculptures displayed throughout the streets.

Day 76: Halifax (Nova Scotia), Canada. Arrival time: 08:00. Departure time: 17:00. Duration of port stay: 9 hours. Halifax is not only the capital of the Canadian province of Nova Scotia, but also has one of the world`s largest ports. The city, located near Montreal, is known for its numerous galleries and museums; furthermore, countless cultural and musical events take place in the port city. The city`s harbor is located in the picturesque coastal landscape. Here, there are still some historic buildings where small shops, restaurants, and the "Museum of Natural History" are located, which houses an exhibition about the Titanic.
