Half Moon Cay is a small island in the Bahamas and is privately owned by the cruise line "Holland America Line." The cruise company purchased the island in 1977 for $6 million. Visitors have access to numerous water sports activities on the long white sandy beach. Shopping centers invite for a stroll and there are several bars to relax in.
Day 4: Grand Turk, Turks and Caicos Islands. Arrival time: 11:00. Departure time: 17:00. Duration of port stay: 6 hours. Grand Turk is the largest island of the Turks and Caicos Islands, with a population of around 7,800, and is home to the capital, Cockburn Town. Here you will also find the Turks and Caicos National Museum, which is dedicated to the history of the island. The highlight is the remains of the world`s oldest shipwreck from 1513. The historical buildings, which combine Caribbean and Western architecture, enchant tourists and guests time and time again. The district "Coconut Grove" was considered the heart of the Miami settlement in 1884. Today, the cityscape is characterized by elegant boutiques and street cafes. In the streets of the city, there is often a free street concert, where reggae or jazz is usually played. The city has numerous high-rise buildings, hotels, palm gardens, shopping, cultural and recreational centers. Landmarks: The Southeast Financial Center, which is considered the tallest building in Florida with its 55 floors, the Dade County Courthouse, the Metro-Dade Cultural, a cultural center that houses the Miami-Dade Main Library, the Center for Fine Arts, the Historical Museum of Southern Florida.
