Cruise Route

Day 1: Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Departure time: 20:00. The metropolis of Rio de Janeiro is nestled in a beautiful landscape with offshore islands and dream beaches. Landmarks of the city are the always pulsating Copacabana beach and the Sugarloaf Mountain, which gives the city its unmistakable silhouette. Across the hill Corcovado stands the world-famous Christ statue. Historic churches and monuments compete here with modern architecture. Typical traditional street markets can be found next to the most modern shopping centers. A ride on the cable car to the over 700 m high Sugarloaf Mountain offers a breathtaking view of the city. Sightseeing: Metropolitan Cathedral, Municipal Theater, Imperial Palace, National History Museum, Sugarloaf Mountain, Christ Statue.

Day 2 - 3: Sea day.

Day 4: Recife (Pernambuco), Brazil. Arrival time: 12:00. Departure time: 20:00. Duration of port stay: 8 hours. The million metropolis of Recife owes its name to the coral reefs that are located in front of the harbor and beaches, and provide calm seawater for Brazilian standards. Due to the canals spanned by narrow bridges and the old colonial houses, Recife is also called the "Venice of Brazil". The beach of "Boa Viagem" with its numerous bars, restaurants, and nightclubs reminds of Rimini - but with South American charm. Attractions: Historic neighborhoods Santo Antônio and São José, old monastery Capela Dourada, Museu do Estado de Pernambuco with furniture from the Imperial and colonial era and handicrafts, anthropological Museu do Homem do Nordeste, beach of Boa Viagem.

Day 5 - 10: Sea day.

Day 11: Las Palmas (Gran Canaria), Canary Islands. Arrival time: 07:00. Departure time: 16:00. Duration of port stay: 9 hours. Las Palmas is the capital of the island of Gran Canaria and offers two large beaches within its two bays. The port of Puerto de la Luz is one of the most important ports in Europe. Las Palmas has a very good infrastructure and impresses with its historic old town, where the Santa Ana Cathedral is located. Since its construction in 1497, the cathedral has been restored and modified several times, resulting in a combination of Gothic, Renaissance, and Neoclassical styles. Other attractions in the old town include the Columbus House.

Day 12 - 13: Sea day.

Day 14: Barcelona, Spain. Arrival time: 14:00. The city is a successful blend of tradition and modernity. Here you can find both historical buildings from the Middle Ages and modern architecture. Barcelona is considered the most important economic center of Catalonia. In terms of culture, the Mediterranean metropolis has a lot to offer, including the Picasso Museum, the Museum of Modern Art, and the National Art Museum of Catalonia. In the Gothic old town "Barri Gotic" you will find the Cathedral "La Seu" from the 13th century. However, the symbol of Barcelona is the church "Sagrada Familia", designed by Antonio Gaudí. Barcelona is bustling both during the day with business activities and at night with an active nightlife. Another attraction is the "Rambles", the magnificent promenade located in the center, with numerous street cafes, shops, restaurants, bars, and nightclubs. Furthermore, one should not miss "El Puerto", the harbor with its beautiful view over Barcelona and the nearby boulevard "Paseo de Colón".
