About this cruise
Embark on a 4-day cruise adventure in South America, departing from Santos on the MSC Preziosa ship. Explore intriguing destinations in Brazil during your journey.
Day 2: Sea day.
Day 3: Buzios (Rio de Janeiro), Brazil. Arrival time: 07:00. Departure time: 16:00. Duration of port stay: 9 hours. On a peninsula in the South Atlantic lies the idyllic port town of Búzios. This fishing village with a South Seas flair, free of hotel skyscrapers and located in the outskirts of Rio de Janeiro, is considered Brazil`s top seaside resort. Despite its diverse tourist offerings, Búzios does not at all resemble a Brazilian version of St. Tropez. Thanks to environmental initiatives, the development into a city of hotels and high-rises was prevented in time. For example, no building can have more than two floors. As a result, this former remote fishing village has managed to retain much of its original charm.
Day 4: Saints (Sao Paulo), Brazil. Arrival time: 08:00. Santos is the largest and busiest port city in Latin America. Magnificent building facades evoke the time of the coffee traders in the 19th century. The urban aquarium on the wide Avenida Bartolomeu de Gusmao houses tropical fish, turtles, eels, and sea lions. Santos remains the largest coffee exporting port in Brazil to this day.
