Day 4: Oldenburg (Northfjord), Norway. Olden is located in an Eldorado of deep fjords, high mountains, and mighty glaciers. It is only a short distance from Norway`s most famous glacier, Briksdalsbreen. The sight of the colorful glacier river winding its way through the valley and city will leave a lasting impression on you. Olden is the perfect starting point for exploring Briksdals Glacier, Vestkapp, Fjærland with the Glacier Museum, Geiranger and Dalsnibba, Videseter and the old Strynefjell Road, Jostedal National Park Center, Stryn Summer Ski Center, and glacier climbing.
Day 5: Ålesund, Norway. The harbor city of Ålesund, located on three islands, was rebuilt in the Jugendstil architectural style after the great fire of 1904. The best view over the city in the sea and the surrounding islets can be seen from the viewpoint hill "Aksla", which can be reached by 418 steps on foot or more conveniently by car. There, you will find the panoramic restaurant "Fjellstua". The Ålesund Museum offers insight into the city`s history. At the "Atlanterhavs" Park, you can observe the marine life of the Atlantic in large seawater aquariums. About 4 km east of the center is the Sunnmøre Museum, consisting of several sections. The Middle Age Museum provides a glimpse into the everyday life of the past, and you can also visit an open-air museum and a boat exhibition featuring old fishing boats and reconstructed Viking ships. A unique natural experience awaits on the popular excursion to the bird island "Runde" southwest of Ålesund.
Day 6: Haugesund, Norway. The city of Haugesund on the southwest coast of the Norwegian mainland is a significant trading center. It is a good starting point for exploring the nearby Lysefjord and the mountainous hinterland. Haugesund is known for its annual film festival.
