Cruise Route

Day 1: New York (New York), USA. Departure time: 17:30. New York - the huge, vibrant city on the Hudson River and the secret capital of the world - is undoubtedly one of the most fascinating cities in the USA. Around 12 million inhabitants from all corners of the world call New York their home. The city is divided into five boroughs, with Manhattan being the heart of the city and also the most famous district. When thinking of New York, most travelers immediately associate it with Wall Street and Broadway, the Empire State Building, Fifth Avenue and the numerous museums, Central Park and the Statue of Liberty. All of this can be found in New York City, even within the "small" borough of Manhattan. "The Big Apple," as the city is also called, is a melting pot of culture and nationalities, of the poor and the rich, the epitome of contrasts. Often sung about and described, New York is a city of constant change. It is a center of economy, art, and architecture, experienced differently by each of the over 25 million visitors it attracts annually.

Day 2: Newport (Rhode Island), USA. Arrival time: 06:00. Departure time: 15:00. Duration of port stay: 9 hours. One of the largest holiday resorts in Rhode Island is Newport, which is considered the sailing capital of the East Coast. Newport is a very beautiful, historic American city. Designed in the early colonial era (founded in 1639), the narrow streets and colonial houses bear witness to a rich architectural history. In the city, you can still see numerous beautiful wooden houses from the 17th and 18th centuries. Additionally, the city is known for its good beaches, yacht regattas, and music and art festivals. Many of the impressive mansions, some of which were inspired by European castles, can be visited (including those belonging to Vanderbilt and Astor).

Day 3: Portland (Maine), USA. Arrival time: 10:00. Departure time: 19:00. Duration of port stay: 9 hours. Portland is the largest city in the US state of Maine and is located on its southern coast. The birthplace of the famous writer Stephen King offers numerous sights that attract many tourists. Particularly popular as a photographic motif is the Portland Head Light lighthouse, but the brick facades of the downtown area are also an attractive sight. If you want to see more of the city`s historic center, you should take a detour to the Old Port and the Western Promenade. The tranquil harbor city is also characterized by its modern Financial District, as Portland is known as the headquarters of large banks and insurance companies.

Day 4: Bar Harbor (Maine), USA. Arrival time: 08:00. Departure time: 17:00. Duration of port stay: 9 hours. The cosy town of Bar Harbor in the New England state of Maine is located on the eastern side of Mount Desert Island, the third largest island on the western Atlantic coast. Formerly a millionaire`s resort, the port city was the summer residence of the New England high society in the 19th century, with its Victorian mansions. Nowadays, the city is home to one of the most visited American national parks, the picturesque "Acadia National Park". The park covers the main part of Mount Desert Island and offers a total of 273 km of paths for cycling, hiking, and horse riding. The numerous cliffs and seascapes provide an intense and unforgettable nature experience.

Day 5: Sankt Johann (New Brunswick), Canada. Arrival time: 08:00. Departure time: 16:00. Duration of port stay: 8 hours. The province and port city is located in the mountains near the Atlantic. The city has restored warehouses at the harbor, which are now a popular tourist destination. A good view of the city can be enjoyed from Signal Hill, and visitors should also make a detour to the grand Anglican Cathedral of St. John the Baptist. The old town offers numerous shops and restaurants. Excursions can be made to the bird cliffs of Newfoundland or, for those who prefer the cold, take a boat to see the icebergs and whales in the region.

Day 6: Halifax (Nova Scotia), Canada. Arrival time: 10:00. Departure time: 20:00. Duration of port stay: 10 hours. Halifax is not only the capital of the Canadian province of Nova Scotia, but also has one of the world`s largest ports. The city`s harbor is located in the picturesque coastal landscape. Here, there are still some historic buildings where small shops, restaurants, and the "Museum of Natural History" are located, which houses an exhibition about the Titanic. Other attractions include Citadel Hill, Parliament, the Spring Garden Road region, the Public Gardens, and Point Pleasant Park.

Day 7: Sea day.
