San Diego, the second largest city in California located in the very south of the country, is characterized by Spanish, Mexican, and American culture. The year-round consistently warm and sunny climate adds to the attractiveness of this palm-fringed trendy city. Matching the weather, the greater San Diego area offers a total of 112 km of beach. Mission Bay provides ample opportunities for fishing, sailing, motorboating, surfing, and swimming. Additionally, San Diego is surrounded by a beautiful landscape with mountains and large fruit and vegetable plantations. Attractions include: Old Town, San Diego Zoo, the upscale suburb of La Jolla, the Maritime Museum, Balboa Park, the Museum of Art, and the Science Center.
