Cruise Route

Day 1: Heraklion (Crete), Greece. Departure time: 22:00. The capital of Crete, also known as "Heraklion," is a city with many sights and a vibrant nightlife. The numerous cafes, restaurants, and bars make for a lovely and exciting evening. Attractions include: the Archaeological Museum, the Venetian Fortress, churches with icons from the 16th century, and the oldest city in Europe, Knossos, located 5 km away.

Day 2: Sea day.

Day 3: Taranto, Italy. Arrival time: 08:00. Departure time: 18:00. Duration of port stay: 10 hours. Tarent is a metropolis and the capital of the homonymous Italian province. The city`s location is unique: the old town stretches on an island between two natural water basins shielded from the open sea. A swing bridge, crossing the shipping canal opened in 1481, connects the old town to the new town. The entrance of the canal is dominated by the castle, also dating back to that time, which is now used by the navy and is probably the city`s most popular postcard motif. However, the main reason to visit Tarent is the Archaeological Museum in the new town. It houses the famous Gold Treasure of Tarent, a unique collection of precious ancient jewelry pieces.

Day 4: Corfu (Corfu), Greece. Arrival time: 08:00. Departure time: 18:00. Duration of port stay: 10 hours. Kerkyra is the capital of the Greek island of Corfu, located on the east coast. The main attraction of the island is the ancient Artemis Temple, of which only a few remains are left. The Old Town of Kerkyra is also worth a visit, designated as a UNESCO World Heritage site in 2007. Strolling through its streets, visitors can admire ancient buildings from the medieval period. The charming narrow alleyways are a particularly beautiful sight. A visit to one of the traditional tavernas offers the opportunity to savor freshly caught fish.

Day 5: Sea day.

Day 6: Piraeus (Athens), Greece. Arrival time: 05:30. Departure time: 22:00. Duration of port stay: 16 hours 30 minutes. Piraeus, now a modern port city, has been the port of Athens since ancient times, connected to the capital by city walls that have mostly vanished. Piraeus is also known for its vibrant nightlife and romantic seaside fish taverns. Key attractions include the ancient Zea Marina port, remnants of the Long Walls (5th century BC), an Archaeological Museum showcasing ancient shipwrecks, the statues of Apollo and Athena, the Hellenic Maritime Museum, and the Veakeio Theater.

Day 7: Nafplio (Peloponnese), Greece. Arrival time: 07:00. Departure time: 16:30. Duration of port stay: 9 hours 30 minutes. The charming town of Nafplion, once the capital of Greece, is perfect for exploring the surrounding area, such as the ancient site of Mycenae and the famous theater at Epidaurus. A stroll through the beautiful Old Town with its lovingly restored buildings is a must-do. Visiting the Palamidi Fortress above the rooftops of the Old Town offers a stunning panoramic view of the Argolis region as a reward.

Day 8: Heraklion (Crete), Greece. Arrival time: 04:00. Departure time: 22:00. Duration of port stay: 18 hours.

Day 9: Sea day.

Day 10: Argostoli (Kefalonia), Greece. Arrival time: 07:00. Departure time: 19:00. Duration of port stay: 12 hours. Argostoli is the capital of Kefalonia, the largest of the Ionian Islands. Attractions include the ruins of the Venetian castle "Agios Georgios," the 17th-century monastery "Agios Andreas" with interesting frescoes, and the remains of the ancient city of Krane, which was the island`s capital in Mycenaean times. The main attraction of the island, however, are the "sea mills" located in the vicinity of the city. They are powered by seawater, which then disappears into the ground. It was a mystery for a long time where the water was flowing, until scientists finally proved that it flows under the island through caves and eventually resurfaces on the east coast of the island.

Day 11: Sea day.

Day 12: Piraeus (Athens), Greece. Arrival time: 05:30. Departure time: 19:00. Duration of port stay: 13 hours 30 minutes. Piraeus, now a modern port city, has been the port of Athens since ancient times, connected to the capital by city walls that have mostly vanished. At the center of the city is the Three Wells Square "Platia Tria Pigadia" with three draw wells that used to supply the old town with water until the 1950s. Sightseeing includes the "Nautical Museum," one of the most charming museums from the 19th century about seafaring in Greece with a beautiful shaded garden, the "House of Lena," which is about 200 years old and furnished with furniture and art, providing insight into a 19th-century bourgeois house, the small "Agios Nikolaos Church," and the Town Hall with a red tiled roof.

Day 14: Bodrum, Turkey. Arrival time: 07:00. Departure time: 17:00. Duration of port stay: 10 hours. The Turkish port city was built on the ruins of the ancient Greek city of Halicarnassus. Discoveries attest to a 5,000-year-old history of intercultural city. Various civilizations have been housed here and have been subject to repeated conquests. In 1523 AD, after Sultan Suleiman the Magnificent`s victory over Rhodes, Bodrum was annexed to the Ottoman Empire. Attractions include the amphitheater, the "Castle of St. Peter" built in 1495 by the Order of Saint John, and the Museum of Underwater Archaeology. The Mausoleum, the tomb of King Mausolus who died in 353 BC, is considered one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Alexander the Great also reached Bodrum. The historian Arianus reports on long-lasting battles at the "Myndos Gate.".
