Day 1: Vancouver (British Columbia), Canada. Departure time: 16:00. With almost 500,000 residents, Vancouver in the province of British Columbia is the most important Canadian port city on the Pacific Ocean. It is considered one of the safest and cleanest cities in the world and has a year-round mild climate due to its protected location. A special attraction at the northern edge of the city is Vancouver`s mountain, Grouse Mountain, which can be reached by cable car and offers excellent winter sports and hiking opportunities as well as a magnificent view over the city. Nearby is the Capilano Suspension Bridge, a 137-meter-long suspension bridge swinging freely 70 meters above a river gorge and can be crossed by visitors. Attractions include Gastown, Stanley Park, Chinatown, Science World, Vancouver Aquarium, Harbour Centre with an observation deck, and Waterfront with the Sea Bus.
