Cruise Route

Embark on a 13-day cruise adventure in the East Caribbean, setting sail from Baltimore aboard the Vision of the Seas ship. During your journey, you`ll have the opportunity to explore various captivating destinations in the USA, Barbados, and Saint Kitts and Nevis.

Day 1: Baltimore (Maryland), USA. Departure time: 15:00. Baltimore is the largest city in the state of Maryland with approximately 800,000 inhabitants and one of the most important seaports in the United States. The port city is also a significant industrial and commercial center, with a focus on research and development, specifically in pharmaceuticals, medical supplies, and healthcare services. Baltimore is home to the residence and grave of the writer Edgar Allan Poe. The face of the harbor city has undergone significant changes in recent years, particularly in terms of tourist areas. Many areas have been renovated and new buildings have been constructed, giving Baltimore a very positive character. The Inner Harbor, located on an offshoot of the 320-kilometer-long Chesapeake Bay, has become the center of tourism. The frigate USS Constellation, the first ship of the US Navy from 1797 and the oldest floating ship in the world, is docked at Pier 1 of the Inner Harbor. Among the museums, the Baltimore Museum of Art (with numerous post-impressionist works), the Walters Art Gallery, and the City Life Museum, a block of buildings representing 19th-century city life, are particularly noteworthy. Mount Vernon Place offers houses and squares from the 19th century as well as many cultural institutions. The Washington Monument is also located here, offering a panoramic view of Baltimore and its surroundings. Fort McHenry National Monument is the site of special military parades and ceremonies during the summer. Another characteristic of Baltimore is the water taxis that connect all the attractions in the harbor area by boat.

Day 2 - 4: Sea day.

Day 5: St. Croix, US Virgin Islands. Arrival time: 08:00. Departure time: 18:00. Duration of port stay: 10 hours. St. Croix is the largest island in the US Virgin Islands and has the highest population with over 50,000 inhabitants. The island was inhabited by Caribs and Arawaks until its discovery by Christopher Columbus. Afterwards, there were various European colonies until the island was sold by Denmark to the USA in 1917. In Christiansted, you can visit the largely preserved colonial architecture and Fort Christiansvaern.

Day 6: Philipsburg, St. Martin. Arrival time: 08:00. Departure time: 18:00. Duration of port stay: 10 hours. Sint Maarten, with its capital Philipsburg, is the smaller Dutch part of the enchanting Caribbean island that the Netherlands and France have peacefully shared since 1648. The Dutch part of the island is among the most popular shopping and vacation destinations in the Caribbean. In Philipsburg alone, there are over 500 shops in the pastel-colored Dutch style, where luxury goods can be purchased at up to 50% below the regular retail price. The best way to experience genuine Caribbean flair is at the Saturday market in the capital. Attractions: Zoo, Philipsburg Museum, Fortress in the Great Bay Harbor, Casino, beaches.

Day 7: St. John`s (Antigua), Antigua and Barbuda. Arrival time: 07:00. Departure time: 16:00. Duration of port stay: 9 hours. St. John`s is the capital and only deep-water port of the mini-state of Antigua and Barbuda in the northeastern Caribbean. Clear water and hundreds of beaches with fine sand surround the city. Since you can shop duty-free on the island, you will find a variety of fashion boutiques, electronics stores, and jewelers directly at Heritage Quay, close to the port. Traditional crafts, straw dolls, masks, and exotic colorful fashion can be found in the former slave quarters. The building of the former British colonial court now houses the Museum of Antigua and Barbuda, with exhibits from the colonial era and the slave trade. The St. John`s Cathedral with two Georgian bell towers sits on a hill overlooking the city. Sugar cane is mainly cultivated in the plantations in the surrounding area. The city, with a population of 6,700 inhabitants, is located on the south coast of the country. Tourists can find numerous shopping opportunities in the highly modern harbor area of the picturesque town, as well as an exciting nightlife. In Bridgetown, there is a historic synagogue that was built in 1627 shortly after the founding of the British colony by Brazilian Jews. The beaches of Dover, Rockley, and Needhams Point offer a wide range of water sports activities.

Day 9: Basseterre (St. Kitts), St. Kitts and Nevis. Arrival time: 11:30. Departure time: 19:00. Duration of port stay: 7 hours 30 minutes.
