The city has a uniquely preserved old town with architecture from the 18th and 19th centuries, which is almost unchanged. The restored villas of the planter and merchant elite still recall Charleston`s past as a port city and meeting point for the slave and cotton markets. Worth seeing are the "Edmund Alston House", the "Calhoun Mansion" in Victorian style, the ballroom on Meeting Street, the "Nathaniel Russell House", the "St. Michael`s Episcopal Church", and the "Heyward-Washin.

Day 3: Nassau (New Providence), Bahamas. Arrival time: 08:00. Departure time: 17:00. Duration of port stay: 9 hours. Nassau, the capital of the Bahamas, is located on the island of New Providence and is known internationally as a tourist center with the holiday resorts Cable Beach and Paradise Islands. Typical of Nassau are the pink-painted government buildings, which, along with pastel-colored houses, give the city its colonial charm.

Day 4: Princess Cays, Bahamas. Arrival time: 08:00. Departure time: 17:00. Duration of port stay: 9 hours. Princess Cays is located on the island of Eleuthera in the Bahamas, an archipelago of over 700 islands and about 2,400 mini coral islands, known as Cays. The island is 160 km long and 3.2 km wide, and is one of the quieter vacation destinations in the Bahamas. White to pink dream beaches, mostly lined with palm trees and subtropical vegetation, invite divers and sun-seekers to relax.
