Cruise Route

Day 1: Sydney (New South Wales), Australia. Departure time: 18:00. Sydney is the capital of the state of New South Wales and is located on the east coast of Australia. With its 4.4 million inhabitants, it is the largest city on the Australian continent and serves as the industrial, commercial, financial, and tourism center of the entire state. The landmark of Sydney is the sail-shaped opera house as well as the world-famous Harbour Bridge in the largest natural harbor in the world. There are over 70 different beaches in the Sydney region, including the popular Bondi Beach, especially for surfers. Other attractions of the city include the Taronga Zoo, the old town "The Rocks," the 305m high Sydney Tower, or the Darling Harbour entertainment center. A special excursion destination in the surrounding area is the Blue Mountain National Park. The rock formations of the Three Sisters give visitors an insight into the vastness and untouched beauty that the unique continent has to offer.

Day 2: Newcastle (New South Wales), Australia. Arrival time: 07:00. Departure time: 18:00. Duration of port stay: 11 hours. The port city of Newcastle is located in the state of New South Wales and is the second oldest city in Australia.

Day 3 - 4: Sea day.

Day 5: Townsville (Queensland), Australia. Arrival time: 11:00. Departure time: 20:00. Duration of port stay: 9 hours. Founded in 1864 by Robert Towns, the city now has a double name ("City City"). It is the starting point for trips to Magnetic Island, which is lined with palms and dream beaches, but also has a lot to offer itself. With the Great Barrier Reef Wonderland, Townsville has an excellent aquarium with a living coral reef that can even be walked through using a glass underwater tunnel. The colorful Great Barrier Reef is located directly off the coast of Townsville. Here, it is possible to dive in the midst of the large accumulation of corals or swim in the shallow waters of the ocean.

Day 6: Cairns (Queensland), Australia. Arrival time: 08:00. Departure time: 19:00. Duration of port stay: 11 hours. Cairns, the capital of the "Far North" region, is full of tropical vitality. As the secret "backpacker" capital of Australia, it attracts young travelers almost magically with its almost unlimited leisure opportunities. The Great Barrier Reef is much more accessible from here than from central Queensland. The crystal-clear sea, palm-fringed islands and sandbanks particularly attract divers and snorkelers. The two islands, Green and Fitzroy Island, which are located directly off the coast, are therefore very popular holiday destinations. The outer reef, which is particularly popular with divers, is about 50 km away. In the immediate vicinity, there are untouched coastal sections and a mysterious wilderness of rainforests with a high mountain range in the background.

Day 7: Sea day.

Day 8: Alotau, Papua New Guinea. Arrival time: 07:00. Departure time: 16:00. Duration of port stay: 9 hours. The city is home to the National Parliament, the highest court, the particularly impressive National Museum, which showcases a large collection of traditional masks and shields alongside exhibits on local culture and history, the Botanical Garden, and the Catholic Church. The surrounding area of the capital also offers a wealth of attractions such as the Wairiata National Park, the Moitaka Crocodile Farm, Loloata Island, and the Seepark Oceanarium.

Day 10 - 11: Sea day.

Day 12: Darwin (Northern Territory), Australia. Arrival time: 09:00. Departure time: 18:00. Duration of port stay: 9 hours. The casualness of the Outback reigns in Darwin. The nearby wilderness of the "Kakadu National Park" offers cave paintings and artworks of the Aborigines, 20,000-year-old rock formations, and the dense, lush rainforest of Australia with numerous waterfalls.

Day 13: Sea day.

Day 14: Komodo, Indonesia. Arrival time: 10:00. Departure time: 18:00. Duration of port stay: 8 hours. Komodo is part of the "Lesser Sunda Islands", an almost untouched part of Indonesia by tourism. This could have been the filming location for the movie "Jurassic Park". Not only because of its prehistoric inhabitants, the Komodo dragons, but also because of its unique landscape: rugged mountains, grasslands, and wooded areas with dried-up riverbeds. There are no roads, only one village. In the vicinity of Komodo, there are some of the most beautiful islands with rich wildlife and fantastic snorkeling opportunities in untouched coral gardens.
