The "Salmon Capital of the World" is one of the places in Southeast Alaska that existed during Russian times. Like in Sitka, one can feel this Russian past here as well. Folklore dancers and the Russian Orthodox Church are part of it. In the "Totem Bight State Park," totem poles carved by the Tlingit Indians can be visited. Ketchikan is considered the Mecca of salmon fisher.

It is partially covered in ice and offers breathtaking views of magnificent glaciers and vibrant blue ice streams. The charming provincial capital of British Columbia is located on Vancouver Island and offers European flair with narrow streets lined with beautiful 19th century stone buildings. Victorian architecture, red double-decker buses, and nostalgic horse-drawn carriages evoke the colonial era of the British Empire. In contrast, the numerous totem poles in the parks highlight the blending of cultures. Expansive gardens with exotic and native plants invite you to take a stroll. Day 8: Seattle (Washington), USA. Arrival time: 06:00. Seattle is also known as the "Emerald City." From here, you have a wonderful view of the Cascades and Mount Rainier. The Seattle Center, home to the city`s famous landmark, the Space Needle, was built for the 1962 World`s Fair.
